UPDATE

5/3/09

Melinda had a good day today. Melinda's vitals were strong and stable. Melinda was getting her x-rays this morning and somehow her bolt would not register her brain pressures. The neurosurgeons assessed Melinda and decided to take the bolt out. This was a little scary since we could not see the pressure on the monitor. The nurses assured us that her pressures were good and the bolt was not needed. This is a big step for Melinda towards her recovery. The neurosurgeons decided to start weaning her off of her catheter that is inserted in her brain. This is good news. Melinda is getting her respitory treatments every 4 hours. The respitory technician stated that Melinda's lungs were doing well.

Please continue to pray for GOD hears our prayers.

  2. Christie,

    Thank your for the updates.

Melinda is a beautiful and strong child. I pray God watches over her, and grants that she may be restored to that perfect health which it is his alone to give.

My heart breaks for you and I am praying for you peace and wisdom. Eat, sleep as much as you can to stay healthy. You need your strength.

    Love and Prayers,
    Kitty
