Melinda had a calm and peaceful night. Melinda's vitals stayed stable. This morning the respiratory therapist said he will be gradually lowering her respiratory level to see how she handles breathing on her own. This will be attempted several times through out the day. We will keep you updated on how well Melinda handles this.

Christie, we will be up tonight or tomorrow. We will check on you before we come to see if there is anything you need. From the first time we met, I always looked at you as being "tough". I truely believe this is probably one of the most challenging things you will ever have to face. And even though you did not request this challenge, you have done a beautiful job of being strong for Melinda and showing her your love and support. For her, I thank you for being so brave and so loving. And we are so thankful that the family has been able to be by your side and be support for you. I love you. Give her a kiss for me. FYI, please tell Stacy I look forward to seeing her and her sense of humor this weekend.
